Many, but not all, restroom stalls are made of galvanized or galvannealed steel. With steel restroom stalls, you get a strong, dent- and scratch-resistant furnishing that keeps its good looks for years. But steel needs some protection against moisture, so it’s not the best for damp areas.

A baked enamel or powder coated finish gives you a wide range of color choices with ease of cleaning and the corrosion resistance that steel requires. Either of these finishes are easier on the budget than some others that we offer, but they are also less resistant to scratches and vandalism.

Plastic laminate comes in a wide range of choices, including our Quick Ship Plastic Laminate Bathroom Partitions, as does solid plastic and solid phenolic resin, and they all clean up easily. Laminates are a thin layer of colored or patterned plastic over a base layer, while solid plastics are constructed as the names imply.

Phenolic core materials have a laminate layer on top, but it will not delaminate under the harshest conditions. Baseline laminate is less expensive than solid or phenolic core, and it might be susceptible to damage along the seams over time, while solid plastic and phenolic core are impervious.
